This is a busy week. This past Monday, I had the privilege of performing with two of the best jazz players in Ohio. Paul Ferguson on trombone from Cleveland, and Byron Rooker on sax from Columbus joined Paul Martin, Steve Berry and me for the monthly Big Bands and All That Jazz concert in Ashland.
Tonight (Wed., March 9) the Steve Brown Trio will be playing at the City Square Steakhouse in Wooster. These guys have live jazz every Wednesday, and I’m one of several groups in the regular rotation. Joining me for will be Robert Tomasetti from Wooster on bass and Andy Loess from Massillon on trumpet.
Friday night I will be going solo as part of the annual “Girls’ Night Out” event in downtown Loudonville. I will be playing at the Main Street Cafe from 6 – 9 pm. Stop in for great food and your favorite requests.

If you like the taste of great wine and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere where friends can meet, stop in at The Happy Grape Wine Bar in Lexington, OH. This place opened a month ago. The owners are trying to offer live music on a regular basis and I had the pleasure of playing there this past Wednesday. With a little promotion through Facebook, we had a really nice crowd for a Wednesday. Thanks to my friends who showed up to listen to my two hours of jazz and more, and enjoy some great wine.

Hi Everyone,
For those of you who are “fans”, you may have noticed that my website has been down for over a month. I recently changed hosts from Earthlink to GoProHosting. These guys are affiliated with the AmericanFederation of Musicians and are patiently working with me to get my site back up.
I’m in the process of recreating the website for stevebrownsmusic.com. I guess by the time you are reading this, my site is up, but it will be a continual work in process.
I had a great time playing the Valentine’s Dance at the Renaissance Theater on Feb. 14. This was with the Steve Brown Trio and included Ralph Brown on sax and Paul Martin on bass. My next gig is this Saturday, Feb. 19. I’m playing solo for the Loudonville Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner at the Mohican Lodge. Should be fun.
